772,121. Locking screws. SULZER FRERES SOC. ANON. July 25, 1955 [Aug..5, 1954], No. 21476/55. Class 89 (1). [Also in Groups XXIV and XXVI] A screw-bolt 9, passing through a shouldered aperture in a turbine-rotor 5 and screwing into a shaft 10 for securing the rotor against the shaft end, is locked to the rotor by a disc 18 having a polygonal aperture to fit the bolt-head and rotating therewith, the disc 18 having projections engaging notches in the rotor and being retained in a recess in the rotor by a spring-ring 19. Bolting. The bolt-head has a flange 21 behind the disc 18 so that, after removal of the disc 18 and replacement of the ring 19, the rotor may be forced away from the shaft-end by unscrewing the bolt. The bolt 9 engages a surface 14 on the rotor which is approximately in the same plane as the surface 13 engaging the shaftend. |
