<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxidation catalyst excellent in low-temperature activity which can clean an exhaust gas, etc. even in a lower temperature range (100-130°C) than the conventional range. <P>SOLUTION: A noble metal is supported on a carrier consisting of a metallic oxide containing CeO<SB>2</SB>, thereafter reduced under reduction atmosphere in the temperature range of 600 to 800°C, then oxidized under oxidation atmosphere in the temperature range of 600 to 800°C and further reduced under reduction atmosphere in the temperature range of 600 to 800°C to give the low-temperature oxidation catalyst. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
