摘要 PURPOSE: A method of manufacturing catalyst compositions for synthesizing carbon nano-tubes with superior apparent density is provided to adjust both apparent densities of catalyst compositions and carbon nano-tubes by adjusting the content of magnesium as the inert carrier of metal catalyst compositions. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing catalyst compositions for synthesizing carbon nano-tubes with superior apparent density includes the following: the precursor of metal catalyst compositions and magnesium carriers are mixed in an SUS tray, and the state of the mixture is solid. The content of the magnesium carriers is in a range between 10 and 40 mol%. The mixture is pyrolyzed in a thermal treating furnace of 400 and 1200 degrees Celsius for 1 to 3 hours in order to form catalysts. The catalysts are dry-pulverized to obtain complete catalyst powder. The apparent density of the catalysts is in a range between 0.5 and 1.0g/mL. The apparent density of synthesized carbon nano-tubes is in a range between 0.055 and 0.10g/mL.
