<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transmission device for transmitting video data and audio data, which are included in content data from a source device, to an arbitrary electronic device. <P>SOLUTION: The video transmission device 101 classifies the plurality of electronic devices (a TV, a projector and an AV amplifier) into a plurality of groups in accordance with respective functions of the plurality of electronic devices and generates list information showing a list of respective structures of the groups. Each group includes a combination of the electronic device usable for video display and the electronic device usable for audio output or one electronic device usable for both the video display and the audio output. The video transmission device 101 transmits the generated list information to a source device.
