<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved catheter mounting device that prevents an infection of a medical instrument such as a catheter that is dermally inserted. <P>SOLUTION: An infection prevention mechanism is composed of a surface structure coating the catheter or a cylindrical structure involving the surface structure, and an adhesion site devised to be adhesively contacted with a surface skin. The improved catheter mounting device establishes the mechanism that can access to an catheter insertion section and its surrounding surface skin, and exquisitely reasonably and physically defends the intrusion of pathogenic microbes into the section so that medical staff facilitates adjusting the position of the front end portion of the catheter and securing suture of the catheter to the skin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
