<p>The invention relates to a variable shape monopolar cautery, used in laparoscopic surgery, capable of modifying its shape, so as to make possible the access to any point located inside the abdominal cavity, irrespective of its spatial relationship to the transparietal access point. According to the invention, the cautery consists of a rectilinear supporting-rod (1), which presents in its proximal end a handle (3) and inside, a mobile carrying-rod (2), which may glide along the longitudinal axle of the apparatus and whereto there is attached, to its distal end, an active top, by means of which the electrocoagulation is done. The carrying-rod (2) has a shape close to that of a hook, being capable of modifying its shape, by becoming rectilinear and then returning to its initial shape in the moment when the apparatus is activated or desactivated by means of a device (7) for activation/desactivation located at the level of the handle (3).</p> |
