<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereo image pickup device capable of picking up a stereo image in a state where a parallax amount of a left eye and a right eye is accurately set. <P>SOLUTION: A stereo image pickup device 11 includes: a light bifurcating device including an incident surface 35, a beam splitter unit 33 for bifurcating incident light from the incident surface into two directions, an extention unit 36, and a reflection unit 38 for reflecting at least a part of the light deflected by the beam splitter unit 33 and deflecting in a Y-axis positive direction; a first camera 31 for picking up a left eye image; and a second camera 32 for picking up a right eye image.
