METHOD OF ANALYSING AND DETECTING VIRUS USING MASS SPECTROMETRY

PURPOSE: A virus diagnosis system for virus analysis and identification is provided to minimize spectrum overlapping phenomenon and to improve sensitivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for virus analysis and identification comprises a step of treating a sample with a lysis buffer containing surfactant for lysis; a step of treating the sample with protease for cleavage of proteins in the sample; a step of centrifuging the sample containing cleaved peptides and remove surfactant; and a step of comparing peptide mass with well-known mass of the peptides cleaved with same protease. The virus includes avian virus or Newcastle disease virus.
