<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission circuit in which power consumption can be reduced furthermore when compared with the prior art. <P>SOLUTION: The optical transmission circuit 1 comprises an optical semiconductor element 10 integrating a laser diode 11 and an electroabsorption optical modulator 12 having a common cathode, where the common cathode is connected to the ground potential, the laser diode 11 and the electroabsorption optical modulator 12 are driven with bias voltages in the direction opposite from each other with reference to the ground potential, and a differential drive circuit 20 having one output connected with the anode of the electroabsorption optical modulator 12 via a capacitor 41 and the other output connected with the cathode of the electroabsorption optical modulator 12 via a capacitor 42. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
