<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an actuator control device configured such that if a sensor for detecting a position or the like of an actuator (or a target driven by the actuator) becomes faulty, incorrect determination is avoided by using standby time or performing re-determination during a predetermined period, and the concurrence of failure of the actuator or a drive target is prevented during the predetermined period. <P>SOLUTION: With a configuration in which an EGR pipe 5 for re-circulating exhaust from an exhaust pipe 4 of an engine 2 to an intake pipe 3 is equipped with an EGR valve 50, an ECU6, if an output value of an opening sensor 52 is out of a proper range, does not determine sensor failure during the predetermined period, and limits a supply current value to the actuator 51 for driving the EGR valve 50. Thereby, failure incorrect determination due to mixing of noise is avoided, and a situation is avoided in which the valve is strongly urged to a full-open side by the actuator during the predetermined period and thus the valve having collided with a stopper part becomes faulty. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
