<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alkali developing solution capable of forming a high sharpness clear image without causing defects to an image area and capable of suppressing occurrence of development scum due to a photosensitive layer component of a photosensitive lithographic printing plate, and to provide a platemaking method for a lithographic printing plate. <P>SOLUTION: The alkali developing solution for a photosensitive lithographic printing plate contains a phosphobetaine compound. The platemaking method for a lithographic printing plate includes development of a photosensitive lithographic printing plate with the alkali developing solution after exposure. In the platemaking method for a lithographic printing plate, the photosensitive lithographic printing plate is an IR-sensitive lithographic printing plate having a photosensitive layer on a support, wherein the photosensitive layer contains an IR absorbing dye and an alkali-soluble resin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
