<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine adapted to enhance preference for the game on a series of modes from shielding to opening of a shutter means with respect to the display region of a display device. <P>SOLUTION: A shutter device 5 includes: an endless link mechanism 22 formed in annular shape by the linkage of a plurality of link members 221 and expansibly variable in a radial direction; a driving means 14 for expansively varying the link mechanism 22; and a plurality of shielding members 23 provided at the front face of the link mechanism 22 to form predetermined shape. When the link mechanism 22 is varied in a contracted diameter state by the driving means 14, the plurality of shielding members 23 follow the link mechanism 22 and gather toward the center part of the display region 4a, thereby forming the predetermined shape to shield the center part of the display region 4a. When the link mechanism 22 is varied in an enlarged diameter state, the plurality of shielding members 23 follow the link mechanism 22 and mutually scatter.
