EXPRESSING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR REALISTIC EYEBALL

PURPOSE: A method for realistically expressing an eyeball and a device thereof are provided to model and render an eyeball separately from a face, thereby increasing the degree of freedom about expressing motion of the eyeball. CONSTITUTION: A modeling module(210) models an eyeball including a cornea, a sclera, and an iris to generate a planar eyeball shape. An identification module(230) identifies the cornea, the sclera, the iris, a pupil, a conjunctiva, and a tear membrane of the eyeball. A rendering module(250) renders portions of the eyeball using material features and deformation features of the eyeball. The rendering module restores texture and tone constants about the iris and optically renders the iris using a multi layer structure in which the texture and tone constants are reflected to the iris. The rendering module includes an iris rendering unit.
