SIDE MEMBER STRUCTURE FOR VEHICLE

PURPOSE: A side member structure for a vehicle is provided to improve safety for collision by reinforcing the strength of a de member. CONSTITUTION: A side member structure for a vehicle comprises a side member(100) and a polygon reinforce(200). The side member is fixed and installed along the side longitudinal direction of a floor panel and has rectangular cross section. The floor panel is installed in the bottom portion of a vehicle. The polygon reinforce is inserted in the front side of the side member. The cross section of the polygon reinforce is formed into octagon shape. The side member and the polygon reinforce are coupled with each other through laser molding(W) for forming closed section.
