PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hair growth and hair fostering promoter for oral use, which can give the hair growing and hair fostering effect surely and sufficiently compared with conventional astaxanthin-containing compositions.

SOLUTION: The hair growth and hair fostering promoter for oral use contains dispersed particles that have an average particle size of 1-200 nm and contain astaxanthin. It is preferable that the average particle size of the astaxanthin-containing dispersed particles is especially 20-150 nm. It is preferable that the astaxanthin is contained in the hair growth and hair fostering promoter for oral use in an amount of 0.001-20 mass%.
