PURPOSE: A portable electronic device is provided to smoothly manipulate a rear side touch panel with a finger put on the rear side of the device while holding a holding unit of the device to manipulate a manipulation unit. CONSTITUTION: The front side of an electronic device includes a display area. Holding units(1R,1L) are placed at the right side and the left side of the display area respectively. Manipulation units(3R,3L) are included in the holding unit and placed on the front side. A rear touch panel is placed on the rear side of the electronic device. The rear side touch panel is placed on an upper area than an opposite position of the manipulation units. The rear side touch panel is offset against the manipulation units.
