<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric blower in which the noise propagated from a suction port is reduced, and also provide a vacuum cleaner. <P>SOLUTION: The electric blower 8 includes: a centrifugal fan 36 having a plurality of vanes 35; a straightening plate 39 having a plurality of upstream side straightening plates 38 which surround the circumference of the centrifugal fan 36 and face the vanes 35; a fan case 43 covering the centrifugal fan 36 and the straightening plate 39 and having the suction port 42 positioned generally concentric to the rotating axis C of the centrifugal fan 36; a motor part 41 which rotatingly drives the centrifugal fan 36; and a straightening tube 47 which is provided with a straight pipe part 85 having a pipe diameter smaller than the opening diameter of the suction port 42 and extending through the suction port 42, and an enlarged pipe part 86 continued with the end of the straight pipe part 85 positioned within the fan case 43 and extending toward the vanes 35 while gradually enlarging the opening diameter, and which partitions, in laminate, a part or all of the flow passage extending from the suction port 42 to the vanes 35. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
