<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aluminum material for an electrolytic capacitor electrode, which can uniformly generate deep etch pits at high density to reliably increase surface area, thereby increasing capacitance. <P>SOLUTION: The aluminum material for the electrolytic capacitor electrode contains an alloy composition containing 0.0005 mass% or more of Ga so as to control the content ratio AGa/BGa to 3 or less, where the AGa is a Ga content (mass%) in a layer between the surface and a plane 5 nm deep from the surface, and the BGa is a Ga content (mass%) in a layer inner than the plane 5 nm deep from the surface, and has a potential (E) at which current density rapidly increases, in a range nobler than -770 mV vs. S.C.E but baser than -710 mV vs. S.C.E. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
