USE OF MACROLIDES IN PEST CONTROL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling pests or protecting plants.

SOLUTION: There are provided a method for controlling pests with macrolide compounds; a method for protecting a plant propagating material and plant organs growing at a later time point from the attack of the pests, characterized in that as an agrochemically active compound, an agrochemical containing the macrolide and an auxiliary as active ingredients is used at planting or sowing sites in close spatial proximity to the planting or application of the plant propagating material; a method for controlling wood pests and molluscs in which the agrochemically active amount of the agrochemical composition containing the macrolide compound as free form or agrochemically useful salt form and the auxiliary, as the agrochemically active compounds is applied to the pests or their environment; as well as corresponding use of these compounds; related agrochemicals of which active ingredients are selected among these compounds; a method for producing and using these compositions; and a plant propagating material protected from the attack of such pests in the manner above.
