Method for operating a model railway assembly and digital model railway decoder

The method involves engaging model railway articles (12) in different operating conditions during operation of a model railway system. An operating condition parameter is time-dependent stored during the operation of the model railway articles in an event storage of the model railway article. The operating condition parameter is stored at regular time intervals. The time intervals are predetermined by a user. Speed of an electric motor (16) of the model railway article is used for determining the operating condition parameter. An independent claim is also included for a digital model railway decoder for executing a method for operating a digital electrical model railway.
