Performance limits of a rolling mill are completely utilized in each reduction stage, or the performance limits of the rolling mill are not completely utilized in one of the reduction stages. An intermediate thickness of the rolling stock lies outside of a permissible thickness range (DB) when the number of reduction stages is reduced by one.
