SPIRAL TYPE SEPARATION MEMBRANE ELEMENT AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiral type separation membrane element which needs no telescope prevention plate and is excellent in long-term stability and to provide a method for producing the same.

SOLUTION: The spiral type separation membrane element is constituted by spirally winding up a stock solution passage material and a separation membrane unit which is equipped with a permeated liquid passage material in an envelope-shaped membrane formed by laminating and adhering separation membranes around a perforated water collecting pipe. The spiral type separation membrane element is characterized in that a resin 10 is arranged so that the projected area ratio of at least one side of a zonal end part between both sides of zonal end parts in the longitudinal direction of the perforated water collecting pipe at the surface of the separation membrane unit is above 0 and under 1.
