<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device of a lower nozzle capable of reliably preventing slack without performing excessive hitting operation by a hammer. <P>SOLUTION: In the bayonet type fixing device of the lower nozzle, a plurality of protrusions 11 formed on the outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical lower nozzle holder 10 storing and supporting the lower nozzle 30 from below are fitted in a spiral groove 21 formed on the inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical lower nozzle sleeve 20 connected and fixed to a lower plate storing metal frame 50 for storing a lower plate of a sliding nozzle device, and the lower nozzle holder 10 is rotated along the spiral groove 21, thereby crimp-fixing the lower nozzle 30 to the lower plate of the sliding nozzle device. On the lower end surface of the lower nozzle sleeve 20, an inclined surface 22 inclined in the same direction as that of the spiral groove 21 is arranged, and a front end of a bolt 14 attached to the lower nozzle holder 10 is made to abut on the inclined surface 22.
