摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform focus detection in a short time when the focus detection is performed in plural focus detection areas at one time. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: an imager 107 having first and second pixel groups which photoelectrically convert each luminous flux passing through different pupils areas among exit pupils of photographic optical systems; a correction operation part 121 which calculates a correction parameter depending on a vignetting state by the photographic optical system of the luminous flux and performs correction processing using the correction parameter for first and second image signals obtained from the output of the first and second pixel groups; and a focus detection operation part 121 calculating a focus state based on phase difference of the first and second image signals having undergone correction processing. In a first focus detection area, the correction operation part calculates a first correction parameter that depends on the vignetting state corresponding to the first focus detection area, performs correction processing using the first correction parameter and performs correction processing using the first correction parameter in a second focus detection area neighboring the first focus detection area. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
