The present invention provides a shaft for an engine, wherein an integrated rolling bearing can be used in the shaft for the engine serving as an assembly type shaft for an engine, displacement of an inner ring or an outer ring is not concerned, friction is low and durability is high. Rolling bearings (4, 8) disposed on outside diameter surfaces of journal shafts (5) of the assembly type shaft for the engine are configured by an integrated rolling bearing which houses rollers (4b, 8b) with retainers (4d, 8d) between integrated inner rings (4a, 8a) and outer rings (4c, 8c), at least one member of the inner rings (4a, 8a), the outer rings (4c, 8c), and the rollers (4b, 8b) is configured by an member having a nitrogen rich layer, thereby improving durability. |
