A heavy door leaf 7 of a swing door is suspended by means of two or more hinges with detachable hinge pins 11 and is controlled by a bilaterally acting closer 16 secured to the door jamb independently of and between the hinges and having two lever arms 17 acting one on each side of the door. The hinge pins are held against axial movement by screws 12, and between the parts 4, 6 of the lower hinge is located a ball race 13. The upper hinge parts 5, 6 have threaded bores which serve as lubricant channels and receive screws 25 for holding the hinge pins when the latter have been pushed upwards out of the lower parts 3, 4 to permit the door to be removed laterally. A U-section cover 20 embraces the closer and hinges and has apertures 21 for the lever arms 17 and hinge parts 5, 6. |
