SINGLE-OPERATION DETECTION DEVICE OF SYNCHRONOUS GENERATOR AND POWER GENERATING APPARATUS

PURPOSE: To surely detect the single operation of a synchronous generator by a method wherein the synchronous generator is judged to be the single operation when the detected reactive power of the synchronous generator is less than a first discrimination level and its detected output power is at a second discrimination level or higher. CONSTITUTION: A first level-discrimination means 42 responds to the output of a reactive-power detection means 41, and it level-discriminates that a fluctuation in reactive power generated by a synchronous generator 7 is less than a first discrimination level. A second level-discrimination means 48 responds to the output of a voltage detection means 46, and it discriminates the level so that a fluctuation in the output voltage of the synchronous generator 7 is at a second discrimination level or higher. Then, according to outputs of the first and second discrimination means 42, 48, the synchronous generator 7 is judged to operate singly when the detected reactive power is less than the first discrimination level and the detected output voltage is at the second detection level or higher.
