A pouch (100) with a sheet (120) containing at least one layer of a film material is provided. The sheet forms a tube (138) which is closed with a seal (122) to form a volume (140). The seal (122) contains a first straight edge (128) and a second straight edge (130) adjoining the first straight edge (128). The first straight edge (128) forms an obtuse angle with the second straight edge (130). A sealing jaw (150) and a method for forming the pouch are also described.
