<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire treads that improves abrasion resistance and driving stability while reducing rolling resistance by blending silica with a large particle diameter therewith. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition for tire treads is obtained by blending 30-120 pts.wt. of a filler including 50 wt.% or more of silica with 100 pts.wt. of diene rubber including 30 wt.% or more of modified conjugated diene-based polymer rubber, wherein the CTAB specific surface area of the silica is 80-110 m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>/g, and a ratio of DBP absorption to the CTAB is 1.755 or more. Also, the modified conjugated diene-based polymer rubber has a terminal modified group which is obtained by reacting at least one compound having a functional group with an active conjugated diene-based polymer chain obtained by copolymerizing a conjugated diene-based monomer and an aromatic vinyl monomer. The terminal modified group includes a functional group having interaction with the silica. The modified conjugated diene-based polymer rubber has the content of the aromatic vinyl unit of 38-48 wt.% and the content of a vinyl unit of 20-35%, and has a weight-average molecular weight of 600,000-1,000,000. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
