METHOD FOR PRODUCING LITHIUM HYDROXIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for continuously producing lithium hydroxide at a low cell voltage, using electrodialysis with a bipolar membrane.

SOLUTION: Lithium carbonate is reacted with an organic acid to generate an organic acid lithium salt and the organic acid lithium salt is subjected to electrodialysis with a bipolar membrane BP to thereby produce lithium hydroxide.
