Until now, to minimize the air resistance or the fluid substance resistance of a high-speed moving body, development has focused on smoothing or streamlining the surface. However, the concept of the invention is based on the idea that the phenomenon of why a golf ball flies farther and in a more stable manner than a ball without dimples is linked with the dimple effect. From a small-scale experiment it was discovered that, although the air at the contact surface of a ball without dimples is a smooth, undulating layer, a small undulating layer will result if there are dimples, so the resistance will be much less. This dimple effect occurs not only with air but with fluid substances as well, so when applied to a vehicle (a wheeled vehicle, an airborne object, the underwater portion of a ship), a projectile (ammunition, a missile), the inner wall of a pipe, the inner wall of a wind tunnel, the surface of a fan or a screw, or a wheel, the amount of energy consumption can be reduced and emissions such as CO2 can be reduced.
