<p>The present invention relates to a method for determining a pivoting angle (a) of a wheel unit (12) mounted onto a snap-in inflation valve (10). Said method comprises the following three stages: observing a curve, which is representative of the effect of gravity on the radial acceleration Ames of a wheel of the vehicle over a sensitivity axis Y' that is linked to the wheel unit and that is not parallel to the rotational axis of the wheel, by means of the spectral analysis of the gravity curve at a sampling frequency Fs greater than the assumed rotational speed ? of the wheel; deducing the real rotational speed ? of the wheel; and determining the pivoting angle a according to formula (I), where ? is the real angular speed deduced from the observation of the curve, (II) is a mean value of the corrected radial acceleration, and R is a normalized radius of the wheel.</p> |
