<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such problems that an operation of a key switch or a touch panel is required for capturing a subject's image while sequentially focusing to a plurality of points of the subject as in-focus points, which may cause camera shake and that, when automatically focusing to the in-focus point, the in-focus time cannot be set like a manual focus operation. <P>SOLUTION: An image pickup apparatus sets focusing time for changing an in-focus state onto each in-focus point by the optical system in accordance with a plurality of in-focus points set by setting means and controls the change in the in-focus state by the optical system on the basis of an evaluation by focus evaluation means and the set focusing time in response to a recording instruction given to recording means, so that the plurality of set in-focus points are sequentially made into the in-focus state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
