<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face shield-mounting device of a helmet, which can hold the space distance between the face shield on the front side of a helmet body and the face of a wearer in a proper state in response to the use condition of the helmet and to the taste of the helmet wearer. <P>SOLUTION: The face shield 12 of the helmet is attached along the face shield guide plate 14 of a face shield-mounting device 13 mounted on the front inside of a non-illustrated helmet body in a state capable of being advanced or retreated in the vertical direction. When the face shield 12 is downward pulled out and forward pressed out, face shield inside-projected portions 31 disposed on the insides near to the right and left upper end portions of the face shield are engaged with face-shield-guide-plate-dent portions 32 punched on the outer side near to the right and left lower end portions of the face shield guide plate 14. Thus, the face shield 12 can be held at a desired tilt angle showing the angle of depression to the just lower direction.
