<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system capable of appropriately controlling whether direct communication is performed or not between wireless terminals (STAs). <P>SOLUTION: An access point 20 includes an acquisition unit 23 that acquires from a wireless terminal 10 a report on throughput between a pair of wireless terminals 10, a determination unit 24 that determines which communication mode to adopt out of an infrastructure mode and a direct mode based on the report on the throughput, and an instruction unit 25 that gives instructions to the wireless terminal 10 to shift to the communication mode determined by the determination unit 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
