The rack has first and second plate segments (7b, 7c) connected with each other via a hinge (7e), where the rack made of plastic is provided at bottom of a passenger compartment of a vehicle. The plate segments are laid on the bottom in resting position and folded-up from the bottom by pivoting movement around the hinge in use position. A third plate segment remains on the bottom in a securely fixed manner, during pivoting movement of the first and second segments. The third segment is connected with the first segment that faces a vehicle seat.
