PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to form a prism pattern in an upper side of a groove and to insert an LED into the groove. CONSTITUTION: A light guide plate(200) is located on a reflecting plate. A groove is formed in a lower part of the light guide plate. A plurality of LEDs is inserted into the groove. An optical sheet(126) is located in an upper part of the light guide plate. The reflecting plate is located in an upper part of the groove. A pattern is formed in an upper part of the groove.
