摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize a lens initial position without providing a sensor for lens initial position detection to a rack type spherical aberration correction mechanism. <P>SOLUTION: An optical pickup is equipped with the spherical aberration correction mechanism which corrects a spherical aberration by moving a collimator lens. The spherical aberration correction mechanism includes a moving shaft which holds a lens holder holding a collimator lens movably along an optical axis, and a lead screw rotated by a driving motor. Further, the spherical aberration correction mechanism includes a rack including first rack teeth connected to the lens holder and protruding to engage a screw groove and second rack teeth provided between the first rack teeth with the lead screw interposed. The second rack teeth do not come into contact with the lead screw in a state in which the first rack teeth engage the screw groove, and at least some of the second rack teeth are arranged in the screw groove, a tilt angle of the second rack teeth being different from a tilt angle of the screw groove. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
