摘要 <p>The method involves establishing a set point steering angle using a lane detection unit i.e. lane monitoring camera (32), and measuring a real steering angle in the event of risk of leaving a traffic lane. Base angle regulation torque is calculated from an angular difference between the set point angle and the real angle, using a proportional-derivative or digital regulation system. Assistance torque is calculated by multiplying a value of steering wheel resistance torque with gain values. The calculated torques are added to obtain set point torque. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a steering system comprising a camera (2) a motor vehicle including a steering system.</p>
