<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is difficult to increase the generation amount of ion and ozone by enhancing discharge efficiency while suppressing sticking of a nitrate salt and NOx to a protective layer surface. <P>SOLUTION: In a discharge element 1, a region formed on a discharge electrode 5 in a protective layer 9 has a thickness corresponding to a distribution of a flow rate of a fluid flowing on the protective layer 9, so that generation of a nitrate salt and NOx is suppressed and sticking of the nitrate salt and NOx to a protective layer surface is suppressed. Thus, the discharge efficiency of the discharge element 1 is enhanced, and a large amount of ion and ozone can be generated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
