<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position information notification system capable of providing more accurate information with respect to a position, and a spot notice exclusive base station exclusive for transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The position information notification system regarding this invention includes: a portable terminal 2; a portable terminal base station 3 which performs communication with the portable terminal 2 and is connected to other communication terminals through a public communication network 4; a spot notice exclusive base station 6 which transmits cell identification information for identifying itself to the portable terminal 2 inside its own radio area 60; and a database 51 which stores provision information related to a location where the spot notice exclusive base station 6 corresponding to the cell identification information is provided in association with the cell identification information. When the cell identification information is detected, the portable terminal 2 acquires the provision information associated with the cell identification information from the database 51.
