The actuator (5) has an anchor (37) axially displaceable in a thin sleeve (49) such that oil exchange is enabled between a front anchor chamber (43) and the anchor for surrounding of oil outside a pole core (39). The front anchor chamber is formed within the sleeve. The sleeve is provided with a coating that is harder than that of the anchor and formed by a plasma nitriding process. The sleeve is made of a metal sheet using a deep-drawing process. The anchor is formed as a rotary part from free-cutting steel and supported at a plunger (41) by spring force. An independent claim is also included for a hydraulic valve comprising a magnetic separation layer.
