<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an injection control device for a noncombustible liquid capable of promoting improvements on fuel consumption by increasing vaporized expansion force of the noncombustible liquid. <P>SOLUTION: The injection control device for a noncombustible liquid is applied to an internal combustion engine system having a fuel injection valve 20 for injecting a fuel burned in a combustion chamber 10a of an internal combustion engine 10, and a water injection valve 30 (liquid injection valve) for injecting water (noncombustible liquid) to the combustion chamber. An operation of the water injection valve 30 is controlled so as to inject water while the fuel is burned in the combustion chamber 10a. Accordingly, the injected water is vaporized by directly receiving heat (heat recovery) from a combustion flame. Thus, the vaporized expansion force can be increase since an amount of heat collection can be increased in comparison with a conventional device which recovers heat from a cylinder wall surface, and as a result, improvements on fuel consumption can be promoted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
