<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control apparatus that improves running performance upon start-up, in a vehicle that converts stored pressure energy into power to output the power to a drive wheel. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: a converter for converting input power to pressure energy of working fluid to store the energy in a pressure storage device, and for converting the pressure energy stored in the pressure storage device to power to be output to the drive wheel of the vehicle; and an electric motor for converting electric power stored in an electrical storage device to power to output the power. In a predetermined condition where the vehicle is estimated to start (Yes in S1 and Yes in S2), the electric power stored in the electrical storage device is converted (S3) to the pressure energy of the working fluid by the electric motor and the converter to be stored in the pressure storage device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
