<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To limit irradiation of light to a pedestrian that is present in front of a vehicle within a necessary and sufficient period of time, concerning a vehicle lighting system. <P>SOLUTION: The system includes: a pedestrian detection means for detecting the pedestrian that is present in front of the vehicle; an irradiation means for applying light irradiation toward the pedestrian when the pedestrian is detected by the pedestrian detection means; and a recognition identification means for identifying whether a vehicle driver recognizes the pedestrian after the pedestrian is detected by the pedestrian detection means. The irradiation means continues irradiation of light to the pedestrian detected by the pedestrian detection means until identifying that the vehicle driver may recognize the pedestrian by the recognition identification means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
