The method involves introducing saturated steam into the process plant for implementation of a saturated steam sterilization process, where the saturated vapor pressure is applied to the transducers. A pressure measuring value is detected by the pressure transducers. The detected pressure measurement is compared with a saturated steam pressure expected value for the saturated steam characteristic. An independent claim is also included for a device for monitoring a pressure sensor in a process plant.
