The device comprises a suction device with an upper suction nozzle (32) and a lower suction nozzle (34), such that a haulage track is bordered between both the suction nozzles for the pipes (20) that are dried. The suction nozzles have a slot-like suction opening running perpendicular towards the pipes. A sliding shield is guided along the suction openings, where the sliding shield covers the suction opening. An actuator is formed for automatically adjusting to the breadth of the pipes.
