CLAMP PAD FOR MACHINING CYLINDER HEAD, AND CYLINDER HEAD MACHINING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp pad for machining a cylinder head in which a cross sectional shape of a cam hole becomes a true circle when the cylinder head is assembled to a cylinder block, and a cylinder head machining method.

SOLUTION: The clamp pad 15 has such a shape that the diameter D of its ends 15a in the longitudinal direction is larger than the diameter d of the central part 15c in the longitudinal direction and equal to the diameter of a head bolt seating face. The cam hole is processed after the cylinder head is pressed by a clamp so that the strain of the cylinder head is equal to that when assembled to the cylinder block with a head bolt.
