PURPOSE: A friction element is provided to reduce drag torque and secure torque capacity by generating larger pressure force using the same work fluid pressure as actuating on the existing friction element. CONSTITUTION: A friction element comprises a case, a piston, a return spring(110), a pressing plate, a friction disc, and a push ring. A friction element space is formed in inside the case. The piston is installed in the case and moves in an axial direction by using the work fluid pressure flowing in a piston chamber. A plurality of pressing plates spline-combines in the case. A plurality of friction discs is arranged to the pressing plate by turns and spline-combines in hub. The push ring transfers the varied work fluid pressure to the pressing plate and friction disc and pressurizes them to the axial direction.
