PURPOSE: A food garbage opening and closing unit of a drying machine is provided to mechanically open and close a pouring port and discharging hole by sliding a opening/closing units by operating a cylinder so that the efficiency of a disposal work of food garbage is improved. CONSTITUTION: A food garbage opening and closing unit of a drying machine comprises opening and closing units(11a,11b), driving motors(12a,12b), bolts(14a,14b), motor shafts(13a,13b), and guide members(15a,15b). The opening/closing units vertically slid and automatically open and close a pouring port(23) and discharging hole(24) of a drying machine. The driving motor automatically slides the opening/closing units vertically. The bolts are connected to the driving motor and fitted in upper holes of the opening/closing units and fixed at the lower ends of the holes. The motor shaft vertically slides opening/closing units using a screw. The guide members are fixed and formed into a staple shape so that elongated grooves covering the left and right ends and lower end are formed. When the opening/closing units vertically slid, the guide members assist the sliding of the opening/closing units without movement.
